Have you ever wanted to travel internationally, but been intimidated by how much it would cost, how to get there, or where to even start? International adventure travel can be a very rewarding experience and it's easier than you think. This trip, facilitated by the OAP, is designed to teach participants how to plan their own international adventure trips and will be entirely led by the group itself.
We will be traveling to northern Peru to explore the Cordillera Blanca mountain range. This UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Natural Heritage site is a world renowned trekking destination. The region is home to stunning turquoise glacial lakes and an astounding concentration of 6000m (19,500 ft) peaks. Between these dramatic peaks are fascinating cultures, pre-Incan ruins, outstanding wildlife and breathtaking views. The group will have no reservations beyond its first night's accommodation. We will learn to travel on local buses, find accommodations along the way, plan and pack for a trek, and spend five days exploring the mountains. Come experience the adventure of a lifetime!
