OAP Canoe Day Trip - $25.00

Join us for an introduction to canoeing on a scenic stretch of local flatwater. OAP trip leaders will teach all of the basics of canoeing, and your group will set out to explore a local stretch of flatwater, looking for flora and fauna along the way. Be sure to pack a lunch / snack, as food is not included. Price includes transportation, equipment and instruction.

1. OAP Harvest Moon Canoe, 9/22

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the full corn moon? Well, we probably won't see any wolves, but we will have a chance to view the Harvest Moon (also known as the Full Corn Moon) over the water. This will be a mellow paddle, and all equipment, transportation and instruction is provided. This trip will meet in the late afternoon and return in the late evening.
Registration closes Tuesday, 9/18 at 6:00 pm. Must have six registered participants to run.

Just a short drive south of Richmond is a hidden gem: Dutch Gap. This former quarry is home to herons, eagles, osprey, and prothonotary warbler. We'll learn about conservation, paddle the tidal lagoon, and explore the boat graveyard. Experienced trip leaders will teach strokes and packing techniques. Be sure to pack a lunch, as food is not included.
Registration closes Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 pm. Must have 6 registered partcipants to run.
